An Illinois woman found her trip to Florida was a profitable endeavor when she won a $1 million jackpot from a scratch-off lottery ticket.
The Florida Lottery said Danelia Flores-Garcia, 43, of Beach Park, Ill., was visiting Florida when she purchased a $5,000,000 Gold Rush Classic scratch-off ticket from the Greenacres Discount Food store in Greenacres.
The ticket turned out to be a $1 million jackpot winner.
Flores-Garcia chose to take her winnings as a $710,000 lump sum payment.
Greenacres Discount Food was awarded a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.
